Zep 15201 Iron Clad Metal Protector Aerosol is a 13 oz aerosol can designed to provide a transparent, wax-type protective film that inhibits rust and resists corrosion on metal surfaces. This self-repairing, weldable, and non-combustible coating is ideal for safeguarding tools, machinery, chains, and structural metals in industrial, marine, automotive, and construction environments. The protective film shields against heat, rain, snow, saltwater, road salt, and industrial fallout, ensuring extended protection for both indoor and outdoor applications. A single layer application (1 - 2 mil thick) will protect outdoor surfaces for 6 months and indoor surfaces for 12 or more months. Ironclad allows colors and markings on protected equipment and parts to remain visible for easy identification. Surfaces coated with Ironclad can be welded; protective film does not support combustion. Dry film has specific resistance similar to polyethylene. Resistant to galvanic (bimetallic) corrosion.
